We all love a spooky scare… these baskets are beyond perfect for a Halloween activity, trick-or-treaters goodies, or to hand out at a Halloween party!
If you have any seed starter pots left over from your garden, you can easily use them up in this Halloween craft.
DIY Frankenstein Halloween Treat Baskets Directions
First, you will need to gather all of your goodies to make these Halloween baskets.
Frankenstein Halloween Treat Baskets Supplies
- Square Seed Starter Pot
- Green Cardstock Paper
- Yellow Cardstock Paper
- Crinkle Cut Paper
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Halloween Treats
Step 1. On the green cardstock paper, draw out a Frankenstein head for the front of your treat baskets. It can be approximately 1 1/2 inches on the bottom and taper up to 2 inches at the top. It should be 2 1/4 inches tall. Using the diagram below, draw the faces on your Frankensteins. And don’t worry! Even if you are not an artist you will certainly be able to create these simple faces.
Step 2. Glue the Frankenstein heads to the Yellow Paper and cut out the Frankenstein heads to leave just enough of a yellow border.
Step 3. Use a glue gun to secure the faces on the fronts of the baskets.
Step 4. Wrap yellow strips of paper around the inside of each basket and secure at the ends with hot glue.
Step 5. Add shredded paper and Halloween treats!
Have the kids get involved while making these Halloween treat baskets. Not only will they enjoy making these goodies, they will get a kick out of handing them out to trick-or-treaters or your guests at your Halloween party. These would also be a great option for a classroom Halloween celebration. Although they have a Halloween feel, they are not too spooky so everyone can enjoy these cute monster treats!
